Tagged

For those of you who know me I seldom if ever participate in "tagging" ~ it's not because I don't like it, its mainly because it seems like a waste of time to me. However since I have so many followers and visitors to my blog I thought I would do this one. Plumrose Lane had a post on her site that we could partipate if we choose and thought I would do it this time. I'm not going to tag anyone but if you wish to tag yourself, I would love to see what you wrote. Just let me know by adding a comment to this post. Now off to answer "the eleven questions": 1. If you could live anywhere, where would it be? This is hard to answer since many variables would persuade my decision but if I could have it all: It would be in North Caroline or Virginia where the weather changes seasons but not as harsh as Pennsylvania and be near to my son's house and my daughter's family. Would be great to be in 1/2 hour driving distance to my three sisters' homes and one brother's home, too. And also be withing 1/2 hour to my favorite stores like Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and .... 2. Last book you read? Just finished Paradise Valley. 3. What inspires you? I get inspiration from anything..from a billboard to someones clothes to what is said. 4. Chocolate or Vanilla? Everyone knows that chocolate is a girl's best friend. I even like the color chocolate for walls. I have the chocolate color in almost every room of my house and soon will be in my craft haven. 5. If you could have one magical ability, what would it be? I would love to have the ability to help others to feel the blessings they have!! Our lives are riched with so much. 6. Do you dance? Always: Favorite saying is: Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass: it's about learning to DANCE IN THE RAIN! 7. Do you prefer one on one acquaintances or large social groups? Large groups--I have too many great friends and family to exclude any one of them. 8. Favorite food? Healthy food 9. What is your favorite season? I like the time after summer where fall is just beginning. The temperature is just right and the leaves are turning a brilliant color. 10. What is your pet peeve? unfaithful people 11. If you could live in any era, which would it be? 70's Now feel free to "tag" yourself and let me know so I can follow your tagging.

Love Grows Card - Valentine's Day

Love Grows.. isn't that so true!! The more you spread the more it returns back to you!!! I made this card using my ultimate favorite stamp set from SU. I also stamped the heart and hand cut it out by hand. That heart was from the bubblegum machine stamp set. (Sorry I can't remember the names of the stamp sets.) I used stickles on the little hearts too. The stamped words were from a stamp set I bought on clearance for $1 from PatCantan.

Peek-a- Boo Card - Thank You

A co-worker of mine asked me to make her a second thank you card. She wanted it to include a bird on it. This is what I came up with. I love how the 'hole' in the card is and how the bird peeks through it. I used SU punches and inks. I just received the embossing folder that I used on the cream color. I love how it turned out. It really embossed deep too.

Valentine's Card

I saw this idea on Pinterest. Oh I love that place. I used my new marker set that I received in the mail from a secret Santa. Love those markers. Thanks, Santa. The stamp is from SU. I used SU ink and CM heart punch.

Double Z Thank you card

A friend of mine asked me to make her a thank you card to give to some dear friends of her that helped her through the passing of her dear father. I was so honored to do this. I made her a sympathy card (the lotus flower card posted earlier) and she was so touched by it. This was my first double Z card. I cut the base card ( 5 1/2x 12) using SU card stock and scored it at 2, 4, 8, 10 paper and folded it like an accordion style card. I inked the edges and added paper to decorate the front and inside. I layed my nestibilites (Labels Eleven) to show case the tulip I made with my SU owl punch. See previous card I made for more details. I added ribbon and stamped sentiments on front and inside. Added some gems and stickles to bling up the card some.

Lotus Flower Punch Cards - Buckle Cards

With the inspiration from Valita's blog I was able to make the lotus flowers. She has easy instructions on her blog and I just love how she uses SU punches for other uses. This used the pedal punch (not sure of correct name) to make it. The tangerine one is a thank you card with the greeting running up along the stem. The purple one is a sympathy card. I stamped each card inside with SU senitments. Added some shading with inks and some stickles to my buckle cards along with a bow and there you have it.

Prima flower Birthday card with imaginisce crystals

Here is a birthday card I made for a special young lady!!! (** She said it was the prettiest card she received. It melted my heart.) I cut my card base from SU paper at 8" by 6" and scored the long side at 4" to fold to make the card base. Then used more SU paper for the first layer. I bordered one side using the loopy border MS punch. I added a satin ribbon along the side. I used prima flowers and made a 'crystal" swirls using my imaginisce gun and pattern. Stamped my greeting on nestibilities and layered it. Added a plastic type embellishment dragonfly to the front. I added stickles everywhere. LOL I just love stickles. It sparkles like the birthday girl's personality.

Snowman Thank You Cards using Treat cups

Here are Snowmen Thank you cards I made for my students for all their lovely gifts that they gave me. I must have been a good girl this year because they blessed me with wonderful gifts and thoughts. I so appreciate them thinking of me at this special season. Thank you students and parents from the bottom of my heart!!! I am so blessed that I have the opportunity to have you in our classroom!!!
I filled the treat cups with dried vanilla flavored marshmallows. They could be filled with almost anything.
