Christmas stockings

I sewed these stockings a couple years ago when I had a "white" Christmas.  This year I decorated using a burlap theme so changed the stockings up a bit.  I covered the chipboard letters with burlap and added the greenery and ribbon.  Love how they look.

Burlap woodsy window valance

This is my kitchen window valance I made using sticks from the woods as a curtain rod, use some artificial leaves and berries plus a bird nest and some birds.  It was hard taking a good picture with the sunlight coming in the window.  And use landscaping burlap since it was so much cheaper and lighter than fabric.  I added lights behind it too.  It looks good in my kitchen.

fabric flowers.

I made these fabric flowers from burlap, flannel, and ribbon.  It was very easy to do.  Just twist and run and wrap the fabric or ribbon in a circle.  Use hot glue to glue it down every so often.  I added the orange ribbon one to the gift back for a wedding whose colors included orange.

Porch chair cushions

I made these cushions for my porch.  I actually had the material bought last year.  I bought the chairs from a friend and painted them.  I love them.  Comfy!!!

Aprons for dish soap bottles

I sewed these aprons for dish soap bottles to give to special ladies in my life. Already delivered one and she loved it! My daughter gave me the pattern which I had to adapt to fit the size bottles I used.
This is a look at my craft room with the sewing machine that I used to make these adorable aprons. I sewed 14 of them.

Fall Cloth Scarecrow Doll

I made this scarecrow doll using a Simplicity pattern. I love scarecrows and she turned out so cute.

Fabric Ink on Pillows

While we were vacationing in Ohio this summer, I saw these pillows and thought I can do that at 1/2 the cost. I love to try something new. I came home and ordered the Silhouette Fabric paint and stencil paper. I love how the ink came out. Don't think I'll use fabric paint ever again. Now I want to get more colors. I sewed the pillows, too.

Felt flower pillow using nestibilities

Hi, Back from another vacation and saw this awesome idea of doing a felt pillow. I recreated it using nestibilities. I cut many scallop petal shapes and sewed them around the outside in a circle. Then cut 1" wide strips and kept sewing them around and around in circles until I got the complete circle filled. Then tied knots in each strip. It was simple and way cheaper than the bought ones at $26.
