Merry Christmas 2012

Merry Christmas to all my blogging friends and family!! I was blessed with another awesome Christmas with family and friends. I have the best sisters and miss not seeing my brother since he lives across the USA from me. We had a great time sharing and laughing throughout the day. My (adult) children got to finally be together again. Hearing them laughing and talking about our family traditions was priceless.

Homemade Knitting tags

Really enjoy knitting so decide to make some tags for the Christmas gifts that I made this year.

Stamped Christmas tags

Here are some of the many tags I did this year. Many were for friends! I love to ink things up. My new passion.

Personalized Candles

I made these candles for my students for our annual Christmas party. So easy to make.
Steps to make them: 1. Print out a picture on regular computer paper. Cut it to the size you want. 2. Place it on the candle and wrap with wax paper. 3. Using an embossing heat gun, heat the wax paper until it melts. Be sure to hold the wax paper taunt. When you see that it gets 'wet', then you can peel off the wax paper. Here are some pictures to show my steps. I hope that helps.

Personalized Photo Ornaments

Oh how I love these ornaments and love how easy they are to make. Steps: 1. Print out a favorite photo onto transparency that is compatible to your printer. 2. Cut out a circle the size of your glass bulb and I put a little tab on the top to fit into where the cap fits. 3. Next you need a glass ornament.. mine are the flat kind. I bought mine at Michaels but I've seen them in Walmart too. 4. Then take your photo and roll it up and put it inside the glass bulb. Use a long tweezers and uncurl it inside the bulb. 5. Add some snow 6. I put Merry Christmas 2012 on the outside of the back of the bulb cut from vinyl.
I did a couple more ornaments which I can't post yet. Santa will never tell.
